Rain in Matsui's face and a crappy field account for a miserable night for the Yanks. Oh and terrible relief pitching.

The Relief pitching is quite suspect with out Joba. Yes, we are talking about you Ross.

Rasner and Yankees can't climb over .500

The Yankees' win streak ended at five, but Darrell Rasner is not to blame for the loss. The righty tossed six strong innings of one-run ball, but the Bombers could not plate any runs off Orioles starter Garrett Olson in the series opener.

Posada plays simulated game, catches 5 innings

Yankees catcher Jorge Posada caught five innings and went 0-for-5 with a walk in his first extended spring training game on Monday.

The five-time All-Star has been sidelined since April 27 due to a sore throwing shoulder. Posada, batting .302 with one homer and 11 RBIs in 63 at-bats, hopes to rejoin the Yankees around June 3.

"I got a lot of innings behind the plate, that's all I wanted," Posada said. "I wanted just to get ready to catch again."

Joe loses it, but the Yankees win.

Yankees manager Joe Girardi was ejected from Thursday night's game against the Orioles for arguing a controversial strike three call on Jason Giambi .
Batting with two strikes in the bottom of the ninth, Giambi took a pitch high and inside from Orioles reliever Jim Johnson, and after a short pause, home-plate umpire Chris Guccione ruled the ball had skimmed Giambi's bat. Because Orioles catcher Ramon Hernandez caught the apparent foul tip, it counted for strike three.

While Giambi began to argue, Girardi stormed out of the dugout and exchanged words with Guccione, who ejected him after several moments. Girardi continued to argue, slamming his cap to the ground and kicking it toward the dugout. He then retrieved the cap, whirled around and went back to argue some more. (Full article and Source)

The Yankee Stadium Insider Blog is at it again

Rumor has it that Earl Weaver makes a complete ass out of him self in this video clip. Enjoy.

This might piss off Mr. Crowley a bit.

Do you think Matsui knows about our website?? Of course he does.

Take a look at this picture. It is quite obvious that Matsui is trying to tell us something. What are the chances that he would be standing near a fan with the last name of Matsui. Granted it was 150' degrees in Florida, but we can see past his Riddle.

Same old Yanks

Great way to start the game off. A patented Jeter offline throw. Yankees killed any thought of an enjoyable game.
